You could try their mailing list (https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/avein-users), or maybe try to use QuantumGIS instead.

Are you sure the extension is turned on (under Tools Extensions)? AmeiN works great for me under ArcGIS 9.2 SP3.

I am having the same issue. I installed the .exe and I can add the icon...as soon as I add it it greys out. I then installed the .dll int he Customize Windw using "Add From File"
I check the Tools>Extensions and it is not there ..... Although I can see it in Customize Window in the Toolbars and Commands (terrestris)...
When I am in the Customize window the button is blue...as soon as I close the window it greys out again.
In the Tools > Extensions box it is just greyed out...what am I doin wrong.
Thoughts?
